Learning how to play a musical instrument

I really like music. This is why, I decided to learn how to play the flute. It’s a lot of fun! In fact, because the courses are online, I attend them from home! So, I don’t stay behind with my training if I cannot get out of home, in the event of an injury or when the weather is bad!
You can learn how to play a musical instrument too. Guitar, piano or whatever you want! And who knows? You may find that you have a great talent!

Drawing

Drawing is my favorite activity when I am at home. I love drawing my own comic books and when I grow up, I want to become a comic book designer! My art teacher says I have talent and great imagination! You can use your imagination too, to enjoy your time at home. Besides drawing with markers or colored pencils, there are also other very original ideas!
Draw the outline of your hand
Lay your palm on a piece of paper and make an outline with a marker. Do the same thing many times without changing paper. Then fill each outline of your palm with a different color! Now you have a colorful drawing with the outline of your hand!
Paint with drops of watercolor
Add a lot of water in the watercolor to dilute it. Put a drop of paint onto the paper and then move it right and left. Watch how the drop rolls on the paper and creates some odd patterns!
Paint by blowing watercolor with straw
Add a lot of water in the watercolor to dilute it. Put a few drops on the paper. Take a straw and blow with force on the watercolor. You will see forming the most beautiful designs!
YOU CAN CHOOSE THE DRAWINGS YOU LIKE THE MOST AND CREATE YOUR OWN DRAWING EXHIBITION! ASK FROM YOUR MUM TO FRAME THEM AND THEN HANG THEM ON YOUR ROOM. AFTER THAT INVITE YOUR FRIENDS OVER YOUR HOUSE TO ADMIRE THEM!

Play board games or chess

Mum, dad, my sister, and me all play different board games together as well as chess. We did the same thing when I needed to stay home for a few days to get well from a knee bleed. You can do it with your family or ask your friends to visit you at home and play together!

Some cool

ideas!

Card games and word gamesThese games help you practice your memory, learn new things, and of course, spend many fun hours with your siblings or your friends!
Ten questionsYou have to think about an object and the other players will try to guess what it is by asking you 10 questions. If they don’t find it within 10 questions, they lose. It’s a lot of fun!
PuzzleEven on your own, you can have a great time! You can make a big puzzle.
Fun table experimentsYou can become a "little scientist" and discover the world around us with fun table experiments!
ChessIn addition, let's not forget the "king of games", chess! When playing chess you spend your free time with "kings", "queens", "castles”, “soldiers”, and devising strategic plans to defeat your opponent! And best of all is that chess can be played by everyone, young and old! You can play with your parents, your brother or sister, your friend or even your grandfather!

I'm careful with sharp objects

Some items such as knives, sharp scissors or various tools with sharp edges must be handled carefully so as not to cut yourself.Ask from your mum or dad to show you the right way to hold these items. For example, the right way to grasp and hold a knife is through the handle and not the tip.
You should never run around at home holding a sharp object because you can fall and cut yourself!

Eating healthy

Our bones, muscles and all the organs of our body need nutrients and vitamins to grow properly and be healthy. Our body receives all these with food. That’s why, eating healthy is very important for us with haemophilia. This way we help our body build strong muscles, bones, heart and circulatory system. And not only that. Proper nutrition helps our body heal faster in the event of a bleeding! There are some foods that are healthier than others and we should eat them more often and in larger quantities. For example, fruits and vegetables contain a lot of nutrients and vitamins, so we need to eat them every day. We should not eat fired potatoes, souvlaki or pizza everday because they have a lot of fats and few vitamins. In general, we should avoid foods that are getting us fat or don’t strengthen us!
